The Ford GT was unveiled as a concept car at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2002. It was the centerpiece of Ford’s aggressive product onslaught in answer to a challenging period for the company.

Ford GT is a mid-engined sports car built by Ford Motor Company from 2005 to 2006. It began as a concept cars designed in anticipation of Ford’s centennial year and as part of its drive to showcase and revive its “heritage” names such as Mustang and Thunderbird. The designers drew inspiration from Ford’s classic GT40 race cars of the 1960s and the GT is sometimes mistaken for its 1960s counterpart.

The Ford GT features many new and unique technologies, including super-plastic-formed aluminum body panels, roll-bonded floor panels, a friction-stir welded center tunnel, a “ship-in-a-bottle” gas tank, a capless fuel filler system, one-piece door panels and an aluminum engine cover with a one-piece carbon-fiber inner panel.

Power output is 550 horsepower (410 kW) and 500 foot-pounds force (680 N·m) of torque. A Ricardo six-speed manual transmission is fitted featuring a helical limited-slip differential. Engine Performance 0-60 mile-per-hour acceleration at 3.3 seconds and quarter-mile performance at 11.6 seconds at 128 mph.

The Ford FPV F6 formerly known as the FPV F6 Typhoon is high-performance derivative of the Australian Ford Falcon. The car was introduced by FPV in 2004. The F6 is based on the modern-classic Ford Falcon XR6 Turbo sports sedan.

FPV General Manager Rod Barrett said that the positive response to the GT 40th Anniversary limited edition, which was the first FPV to feature the R Spec handling package, led to FPV modifying R Spec for its six-cylinder Typhoon.

The F6 engine is based on the XR6T motor, a turbocharged 4.0L Inline Six, but includes: a modified FPV airbox (with Duel Ram Air intakes), higher strength conrods, larger air to air intercooler, high flow exhaust system, higher capacity fuel pump, and a Garrett GT3540 turbocharger with an external gate (up from the GT3040 on the XR6T) running 0.64 bar of boost. This engine is known for its wide, flat torque curve, with peak torque of 565Nm available from 1950 to 4250rpm. This equates to strong acceleration throughout the rev range.

With the BF update of 2005 came no power or torque increases, but a host of different updates in other areas. A ZF 6-speed sequential automatic transmission becamme available. The other key update was a brake upgrade - a Brembo 355 mm/4-piston package becoming standard, with a 355 mm/6-piston package is optional. The F6 also scored a more aggressive bodykit to further differentiate it from other vehicles in the Ford FPV range, as well as 19-inch “Dark Argent” Alloys.

Ford and other third party companies offered their own modified versions of popular Mustang in order to cater performance centric enthusiast who wants more power, sharper handling and better styling. Although most of the Mustang variants were aimed at enthusiasts, a notable exception was the Special Service Package (or SSP), which was designed for law enforcement.

The Ford Av8r was designed in tandem with Ford Racing and was released in 2008 at EAA AirVenture 2008 in Oshkosh Wisconsin, Wisconsin, as a special edition automobile. It is the only one of its kind; there will be no more Ford Av8rs produced. The Ford Av8r was modeled upon the F-22 Raptor aircraft, and will be auctioned off on July 31, 2008 during the Gathering of Eagles. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the EAA Young Eagles program.

The Mustang AV8R is painted in Satin Silver matte paint with Black Gloss accents. The interior features distressed ”bomber jacket” leather inserts and trim panels along with a Bullitt aluminum instrument panel applique and shift knob. Ford Racing’s contributions include a handling pack (dampers, lowering springs, anti-roll bar kit and strut tower brace), supercharger and tuned exhaust that will generate 400 horsepower from the aluminum block 4.6-liter, 24-valve V-8 engine.

The Ford Fiesta is a supermini cars designed and built by Ford Europe, a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. It was also manufactured in Brazil, Argentina,Mexico, Venezuela, China, India and South Africa. It is one of Ford’s most successful cars with over ten million sold in seven distinct generations since 1976 and production continues as of 2007, with an eighth generation expected during 2008.

Ford’s stylish new small car will offer a sports model from its UK launch this autumn, giving driving enthusiasts a new benchmark for affordable driving fun. It will also continue the Zetec-S name, first introduced to the Fiesta in 1999.

Fiesta Zetec-S lives up to its sporty credentials with an all-new, 120PS Duratec Ti-VCT engine, powerful enough to reach 62mph in 9.9sec and a top speed of 120mph. On the outside are five-spoke, 16in alloy wheels, projector headlamps, front fog lamps, a deeper front bumper, side mouldings and a rear spoiler.

Fiesta Zetec-S will also be available with a 1.6-litre 90PS Duratorq TDCi, providing a more relaxed driving character and even greater efficiency. The exceptionally flexible engine sips fuel at 67.3mpg, generating just 110g/km CO2. Even so, it develops 204 Nm torque from only 1,750 rpm and its mid-range performance is underlined by a 31-62mph time of just 9.9sec.

The Fiesta Sporting Trophy will be based around the Fiesta ST Group N car. The car has 165 PS (162.7 hp/121.4 kW) from the 2-litre Duratec ST engine which when combined with the conversion kit from M-Sport, has been designed to provide all of the safety equipment and performance upgrades to enable the car to be competitive and reliable at any event around the world.

In March 2007, the Pirtek Rally Team introduced the Ford Fiesta Super 2000 rally car, which will compete in the Australian Rally Championship.

The turbocharged I4 engine produced 212 horsepower (158 kW) and 310 Nm of torque, which was then mated to a 5-speed Getrag transmission. Mechanically, most notably, the car incorporated a Quaife automatic torque biasing differential to improve traction from the front-wheel drive setup.

The steering used the same quick ratio rack as the ST170 while the brakes used fixed calliper four piston Brembo units with 325mm discs at the front and single piston callipers and 280mm discs at the back. Wheels were 18″ alloys specially developed by OZ Racing.

The engine was heavily modified with forged aluminum pistons, forged connecting rods, hardened valve seats, sodium-filled exhaust valves and a stainless steel exhaust system. The forced induction system comprised a Garrett turbocharger in conjunction with a water-cooled charge air cooler and an electric water pump. To transmit the higher torque was an uprated AP clutch.

On the July 4, 2008 Ford announced the details of the Ford Focus RS that was to be shown at the British International Motor Show. Contrary to speculation, the new Focus RS does not have twin turbochargers or all-wheel drive. The Volvo T5 engine was upgraded to produce 300 PS and 410Nm of torque. 0 to 100km/h acceleration was quoted to be under 6 seconds.

The Toyota Matrix, occasionally referred to as the Toyota Corolla Matrix, is a compact hatchback manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and sold in North America.

The Matrix was first introduced in the 2003 model year and based on the Toyota Corolla platform. Relatively unchanged in 2004, a facelift for 2005 brought minor revisions to the exterior - mainly revised styling to the front fascia due to complaints of rubbing the ground on the previous incarnation and adding clear lenses to the taillamps.

Matrix was unveiled on October 31, 2007, at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, and first available in dealerships beginning February 15, 2008, as a 2009 model. Matrix will be available in three grades – Standard, S and the XRS. And Matrix will offer the option of all-wheel drive (AWD) with the S grade. The S and XRS models integrate a front underbody spoiler with a large mesh fog lamp bezel and rear underbody spoiler. A rear deck spoiler will be standard for all XRS models.

The 2009 Matrix offers the choice of two different engines, a five-speed manual transmission, and either four- or five-speed automatic transmissions. A 16-valve, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine will produce 132 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 128 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,400 rpm. The engine will feature Dual VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing with intelligence) on both the intake and exhaust camshafts that helps it achieve outstanding performance and economy.

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI was announced in late 1998 and went in production by early 1999. Mitsubishi apparently insisted on producing Group A spec cars for the greatest satisfaction of its buyer base. At least 2500 Evolution VI had to be produced to get the FIA homologation and most mainly sold in Japan.

the Evolution VI received new bodywork yet again, with the most easily spotted change in the front bumper where the huge fog lights were reduced in size and moved to the corners for better airflow. The latest evolution of the Lancer now sports cars a unique, titanium turbine wheel in its turbocharger while the compressor wheel is still made of a, more classic, aluminum alloy.

280 bhp engine and combined with the all wheel drive system make the Evolution VI a very hard car to beat in traffic light sprints.
